Is back pain always miscarriage?

I'm 11 weeks 4 days and I've been pretty ill over the last two weeks. I got norovirus then had a few days better before I caught the flu complete with bad dry cough. 😩 I've had a miscarriage already this year so am terrified of it happening again. My lower back started hurting yesterday but I'm hoping it's just because I've been curled up unwell a lot. Does it always mean miscarriage?

Sorry you're going through it OP. Didn't want to read and run and obviously everyone's situation is different but just wanted to let you know that I had back pain in pregnancy with DS (now nearly 2). I had two miscarriages before him where I did also have back pain in those two, so to answer your question it doesn't always means miscarriage and as you say could be from being quite unwell lately. Have you got your 12 week scan soon?

I’ve had lower back pain in my pregnancy every time I spent a day or two in bed and not moving/stretching. All your muscles tighten from being stationary and start pulling your back, so it’s completely expected. Freaked me out first time too though - having had MCs I can relate - but as soon as I did some gentle stretching, it improved massively. Sorry you’ve had it rough OP and best of luck to you and LO x
