Large subchorionic hematoma

Today I went for my scan, everything everything is fine and I'm measuring a week ahead at 10 weeks. I got told I have a quite big sch measuring 11x54x30mm next to the babies sac. I had one with my daughter but it was underneath so it wasn't as bad. She said it looked like it started to clot which is good as it can be reabsorbing. She said to go back if i have any heavy bleeding again. Has anyone had any experiences with big schs, next to the babies sac

Hi. I had a huge one going round about half the amniotic sac. Discovered when part of my waters went at 13 weeks I was told to expect to lose the baby, discussed funerals and post mortem and to return to hospital if any more loss. I walked on eggshells until a scan at about 24 weeks showed it had been re absorbed. Pregnancy was fine after and he is almost 7 now. X

It was caused by an extra pocket of lining which ruptured ( hence the waters) leaving behind a haematoma xx

@McConkeysPlate That's scary! I'm glad you had a positive outcome!. On my report it says retrochorionic hematoma, I've Googled and it just comes up with a sch. Is this another posh name for it do you know? Driving myself mad 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️xx

@candycrush789 sub usually means under and retro means behind..(chorion is the part of the placenta that faces the baby)

not exactly sure what that means in terms of the bleeding but wanted to send good wishes for the remainder of the pregnancy and hope it all gets absorbed soon ☺️
