Potty shot - worried gender was wrong

Okay so these are my 16+5 week potty shots, where I was told boy (I screenshot these from a video) 2 look boy but but told that one (3 lines) look like a definite girl and I'm starting to question it, I've had my 20 weeks scan since, they didnt mention it as I told them I knew he was a boy, but not I'm thinking theres a chance it could be the umbilical cord... are there any experts that could give their opinion?? Should I be buying neutral just incase?

I never found out the sex of any of mine. So much more fun. Babies and children can wear any colours and clothes!

Freshair87 · 18/12/2022 16:12

You can see what I think is the cord in the second one but the third is clearly a boy, looks just like my boys scan. Congratulations!

Most of my baby clothes were presents and hand me downs given before DC’s were born - they wore them regardless of the colour - babies don’t care. Sometimes DD wore pink and sometimes red. DS looked lovely in peach as well as green.

You really don't need to buy much at all, you'll get loads when the baby is born. Stop fretting and enjoy your pregnancy!

And sorry I can't comment on the pictures, have no idea what I'm looking at, it looks like outer space!

I love white on a newborn anyway but I also think boy 💙

TallGrassInTheSun · 18/12/2022 16:18

That’s a boy.

anyolddinosaur · 18/12/2022 16:24

start as you mean to go on - your baby is just a baby, do not treat it differently because of it's sex. Dress it in any clothes you are given.

Thank you all for replying, so glad to see people agreeing with boy, I think I'd be slightly deflated if it wasn't now as I've connected with him as a boy and have his name and lots of things ready💙

Definitely looks like a boy x

Pommello · 18/12/2022 19:41

"Buying neutral?" What do you think will happen if you dress a boy in pink? 🤦‍♀️

Thirdbabymumma · 18/12/2022 20:35

Looks boy to me x

Just wanting some reassurance as I've heard many horror stories of private scans been wrong,

Been for a private scan today, at 16+1 and been told it's a girl. Also had no clue at 13 week scan as baby was upside down and very uncooperative, was the same today just really chilled and didn't move much. Pregnancy has been very similar to my 2nd which was also girl. But I'd convinced myself this one was a boy. Even hubs was a little skeptical. Have uploaded photos if anyone would like to take a peek

This is exactly why I don't think people should be told. I know someone who was told it was a girl and a boy came out and it caused no ends of issues as they had 'bonded' with the wrong sex. Find out at the time and you don't get this issue.
