How many DPO?

edme · 18/12/2022 14:32

Faint positive is positive. The non digital test just must be more sensitive.

Lividity · 18/12/2022 14:33

Digital is less sensitive. Compare with another FRER.

Sar33 · 18/12/2022 14:35

I don't know how many dpo as didn't track, but I would be cycle day 32 today. My cycles vary between 30 and 37 days. Last cycle was 37 days long, one before was 32 days.

CB Digitals are notoriously less sensitive so unless you used a 6 days early one, I wouldn't worry and just focus on the FRER :) tentative congrats!

Sar33 · 18/12/2022 14:39

It was a 6 day early clear blue digital I used.

Hmmm interesting!! Was it your first morning wee?

None of the tests were first morning wee

Friday positive was at 3.30pm
Yesterday positive was at 5.30pm
Today not pregnant digital was at 11.30am

@Sar33 i think the frer is lower sensitivity then the clearblue, think I read frer is 6 and clearblue 10. Try again tomorrow morning with the clearblue☺️

SunshineAndFizz · 18/12/2022 14:54

You have to use your first wee of the morning if you're doing the 6 day early digital test, so the hormone levels are more concentrated.

Do another tomorrow morning first thing. Or wait a few more days and test again.

ohneilthebaby · 18/12/2022 14:57

I had 4 FRER that were positive but never progressed and negative digital. I don't know if there's a bad batch of FRER going round so I'd just leave it a few days and test again.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you 💐

Yeah think you are right with the figures, but I thought the hormones increase every 2 days so thought it would show on a digital today 😐

I have been so happy since Friday and have been crying on and off now since 11.30am.

I hope I'm actually pregnant.

Early pregnancy and digital tests didn't even exist when I had my daughter. I just got a faint line on a £1 strip test and accepted the result.

All the TTC groups I'm on all use FRER and swear by them and everyone has their positives on them, mine is clearer than most so it's so confusing.

I wondered about being a bad batch, it was a box of 2 from Boots. I bought another 2 pack today from Superdrug. Not taken them yet.

I have sore boobs too. I'm so frustrating. I'm so sorry yours didn't work out.

I’ve had the same with FR, I only use the digitals now - no room for error!

ChloeN · 18/12/2022 15:24

@Sar33 thats so fustrating at your frer has definitely progressed! I’ve always tested with fmu but maybe it is just because you’re not using your first wee? I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

4 frer that never progressed then negative is more likely to be a chemical pregnancy than duff tests

Cindy974 · 18/12/2022 15:33

Either too early or possibly a chemical pregnancy, hope it’s positive tomorrow for you x

Sar33 · 18/12/2022 15:52

I just took another First Response and there is a second line again but it is fainter than the last 2 days. Either I have had a random dip today in my hormones or may be a chemical pregnancy 😥

Hubby says I'm being stupid and definitely pregnant and keeps rubbing my belly, it's really not helping.

If you’re not using your first morning wee, you can’t compare across days. I’d stop testing for now and test again in a day or two, first thing.

Sar33 · 18/12/2022 16:05

OK, I try 🥰

HCG doubles roughly every 48 hours, so if you want to compare tests do them at the same time every other day.

With my first DC I got a positive on a FRER. The line was darker than yours and the digi still showed not pregnant. Few days later it showed pregnant.

You deffo have a line there but it's faint which suggests you are so early and at this stage the concentration of your urine really matters, so if you hadn't had a long hold it will come up fainter.

Sar33 · 19/12/2022 07:58

I think I've had a chemical pregnancy 🥺

I took a first response test this morning with first wee and it was completely negative. So after 3 positives, I am now getting negatives 🥺

Bellesjp · 19/12/2022 13:29

So sorry 💔 unfortunately I've had a bad experience with frer showing a line but confirmed with bloods that I wasn't pregnant. I only used them after that after I'd already had a line on a cheapo to confirm pregnancy as it's too heartbreaking otherwise 😞

Hi, I'm going crazy and need some advice/thoughts... am 40y/o and been trying to convince since last year when I had miscarriage around 5/6 weeks but actually miscarriage took place about 12 week in pregnancy. Since then had about 3/4 chemical pregnancy/miscarriages and usually all ended when my peirod suppose to start, so super early.
Now am 4 days late. Cheap test came positive with very faint line and fallow by first responses all were positive, cb also positive, cb digital negative, all cheap test very faint but positive.
So the thing is all first response are quite similar in line strength, all done with 1st morning wee. My boobs are painful and full. So 5 days in row (4 ive missed one test on the 21st) same results, and last night had a sex and had brownish discharge, but then nothing...

Any advice, thoughts?

Second first response from the bottom (23rd) was rapid, and the bottom one 6 day earlier like others except of cb, it was normal test
