Sonographer saw but didn't show heartbeat

I just went in for a private scan yesterday and was measured at 9+4, which is just a couple days ahead of what I expected. Sonographer took time to measure baby and show us the yolk sac, but when it came to the heartbeat she just said "heartbeat looks good" and we didn't see anything on the screen nor did she say anything about the heartbeat rate. This is also not in the report we were later sent. This was one part of the scan I was really looking forward to and I did feel a bit rushed. It was a 10 minute scan and I don't think we were there for longer than 5 minutes. I know I should've just asked but I was so relieved the baby was okay and assumed that at least the information on heartbeat would be in the report they sent to us. Is this normal for a private scan at this stage or am I right to be a little upset they skipped this with us?

Have you called and asked about the report, or what they normally would tell you during a scan?

Same when I went for a private scan at 7+2. The sonographer said something about the heartbeat being strong and fast but I was overwhelmed at the time and didn't really take it in so now I feel uncertain. He didn't give a number and there's nothing in the notes except that the heartbeat was detected. It's a bit of a shame but I guess it's not a standard part of the report for some reason?

I had an early scan at 8 weeks and the only thing you could see of the heartbeat was a tiiiiiny circle pulsing occasionally. Didnt measure the heartbeat or anything. It was very difficult to see, so I wouldn't worry. 12 week scan was more thorough and heard the heart beat at 16 week midwife appointment :)

That's reassuring that the experience was the same for others. I guess I should be happy with the fact that they did detect a heartbeat and trust that if they were fine with it then all is okay. I just expected different from my experience with my previous pregnancy.

@Batbatbatty , I did send an email to ask. I'm not upset per se if it's not a thing that's standard. I just was a bit surprised and didn't think to ask more questions at the time when I had the chance.

My scan wasn't private but at my early scan, the sonographer didn't say anything about the heartbeat except "baby's heartbeat is beating". Was noted down as "heartbeat detected". What else would you have liked to know ?
