6 weeks and spotting

I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my first and have been ill with an awful cold since Thursday. I soldiered on with work as I only had two days left until the Christmas holidays. I started with very light spotting on Friday night but didn't think too much of it as it was pink/brown rather than red and only when I wiped.

I'm now feeling really worried as I'm still having very light spotting and think maybe I overdid it last week instead of resting. I've also got diarrhea. My breasts don't hurt anymore. I do still feel nauseous but that might be more to do with the upset stomach.

Please reassure me.

I had spotting on and off until 9 weeks, they put me on progesterone and it stopped. They said baby is probably just snuggling in and irritating the womb lining.

See EPU and good luck ♥️

Thanks that's reassuring. The EPU is only open Monday-Friday (so helpful!) so I'll ring my wildlife tomorrow if I'm still spotting.

I would contact your gp about the spotting, they'll run tests to see if baby is ok. Not having sore boobs is not cause for concern that feeling comes and goes x

I had an early scan with EPU due to reoccurring miscarriages. All is fine so far this time round but they noted that baby had an area of bleeding outside of the sack, they said this is more than lightly down to implantation, and that I would likely have spotting at some point or it would be reabsorbed back into the body.

I’ve had no bleeding yet at 10+ weeks. I was told if I did bleed and it got heavier to contact them. My consultant also mentioned having intercourse could cause some bleeding so we’re avoiding that until 12 weeks!

I would however call EPU tomorrow just for reassurance!
