Hey girls can anyone help?

I am 4 weeks and 6 days.

I was really thirsty last night before bed and drank a full litre of water and didn't wee till
This morning. By the time
I went my urine was a bit paler than normal but Ive been taking really crappy cheap tests to track the lines and my test was a little lighter and now I'm worried. I know I'm prob being irrational or maybe not who knows. But there is a noticeable difference.

Here's a pic of the test both dried out. Does anyone know if drinking lots of water before bed would effect the morning tests? Or has anyone had this happen or have pics or their line progression with a dip in one due to hydration etc

Top one is yesterday and bottom is today.
Todays one is still darker than Wednesdays.

Thank you girls

I don't think the cheapie ones are good at looking for progression. I did a frer every couple of days which I found more reliable. I should tell you not to test anymore but I know myself I couldn't not so if you're going to do it I'd use frer! X congrats x

Ya these ones are particularly crap they're from
Poundland and took
Ages to Show a positive even tho
I was getting them On other tests for a while. But I can't put this out of my head that it's lighter 😭 hoping someone can come on and share a similar experience where the outcome was just fine 😭

All this will do is make you anxious, it really doesn't tell you anything in the grand scheme of things. My baby died at 12 weeks and 3 days, I found out they had died when I was over 18 weeks. It still took me a couple of weeks after that to actually get a negative test.

Eatentoomanyroses · 16/12/2022 13:15

You’ll drive yourself bonkers with this. I’ve done it myself. In the fifth week with mine my lines went really pale. It was actually the hook effect and I had to mix wee with tap water to get my positives back. Stop testing

Eatentoomanyroses · 16/12/2022 13:16

Also what @nofaith said. Been through something similar myself.

RambamThankyouMam · 16/12/2022 13:18

Save yourself the anguish and stop testing. What will be will be.

Took a test this morning my period is 8 days late. Clareblue i feel i can see a faint line or is it my eyes. Or could it be a false postive. The other 2 are cheap test and look negative.

Thank you girls I know you're all right just easier said than done.

In my head I am trying to rationalise with myself that I genuinely did drink a litre of water before bed and held it all night cos I was too cold
To get up to pee. So my wee was paler this morning and I was going for ages so I assume it was very diluted.

I feel like a crazy person tbh 😭

@Irishwifey I'm 4+5 today and I know how stressful it feels as I'm constantly looking for line progression too. If it helps my tests look very similar to yours and they're also cheap test strips.

I did read on here that someone else found they have different levels of dye in each as they're so cheap so not a reliable way of checking. Have you tested with a first repsonse or a clearblue? I've tested with both those today and got good lines although both are the super sensitive ones. I do keep thinking every little twinge/change means something terrible though so not much reassurance doing all these tests at least for me! How are your symptoms? I've had barely any other than very painful cramping the first few days which also makes me worry something is wrong! Xx

PinkPink1 · 16/12/2022 16:57

I waited 2 days after my period was due and took a test. Bfp. Waited another 2 days and took another to double check. BFP again. Both with first wee. Just wait until your period is late and buy a more expensive test if you want a clearer result (I don’t like those strips as I’ve had false positives). Read within 5 mins. No need to keep testing.

Ok just wanted to update held me pee for about 3 and half hours and got a lovely dark line I'm so relieved.

❤️❤️

Bottom two are this morning and top one is just now. The one second from top is yesterday mornings (it has dried out tho) to compare and I'm really happy that it's getting ever so slightly darker on tests that aren't sensitive at all , honestly they're like the worst tests ever!!

I am happy that when top one dries it will be as dark if not darker than yesterdays so that is good enough for me. I am now going to step away from the tests for another 3 days at least as I've learnt my lesson.

Awww I know hun it's so stressful. On my first baby I had lots of cramping up until about 8 or 9 weeks so don't let that worry you it's totally normal.

So far on this baby I've had cramping, and boob twinges and one or two days where I'm super tired but not every day! Also been extra hungry, emotional and cranky 😂
