For the past four days I've had what I thought was an ear infection and got antibiotics from the GP as the pain was unbearable. Tonight I've had an awful dry but chesty cough that has been building up all day and have felt so cold even with a hot water bottle in the bed, viciously shaking I was that cold and my teeth chattering. I've just now thrown up tons and am so worried I have the flu at 35 weeks! Now I've been sick I feel okay but my sinuses hurt, baby is wriggling about as usual. Should I be worried? Seeing a gp/midwife etc round here is near enough impossible so I could really use some advice

Hi, I am just coming to the end of this. 34 weeks pregnant and chest infection, sinus and ear infection second load of antibiotics just starting to clear it.

It's been hell!

I spoke with MAC initially as I had high temperature and bit of a fever and they asked me to go down to A&e for a test to make sure it wasn't flu as I may need a tamiflu jab if it was. After 9 hours sat in A&e I was sent home with antibiotics.

Hope it doesn't last 3 weeks for you and you start to feel better soon xx

Poor you, 'flu and upper respiratory infections generally are awful. It will pass, op, and won't hurt your baby. Stay warm, keep your fluid levels up and nurture yourself. I hope you are soon feeling better.
