Hi everybody,

I am currently 11 and a half weeks pregnant we had the normal DS screening test and unfortunately it come back a 1:124 chance of T13/T18.

My blood levels were quite low

Hcg: 0.26
PAPP A: 0.32

We will be undergoing CVS next week but I'm just wondering if anybody has any experience with having similar bloods and how things turned out for them?

The baby looks completely fine on the scan (We was scanned by 2 different fetal medicine midwives)
The NT is 0.9mm so quite low.
I am 30 years of age incase this makes a difference

Hey! I had a 1 in 25 chance of Downs due to low Papp-a also but high HCG. Your chance still seems low, even though it falls into high risk. Given how low your NT is, I’d be reassured by that, though I know it’s easier said than done

good luck

Thanks for your response! It's just such a nervous time especially with the waiting, all we can do for now is hope things turn out ok.

How did everything turn out for yourself? X

Oh sorry, I forgot to say, baby was perfectly fine, came back all clear. I had the NIPT test done. I was told it’s super common for the NHS test to come back high and most of the time, it comes back all clear :) & yes, the waiting is awful but try and keep yourself as busy as you can. Best of luck x

Hi there, how did this turn out for you? I’m in the same situation.

That’s so lovely to hear - I’ve not found any success stories with low PAPP A and HCG and yours have given me the hope I needed to get through the next 10 days. Congratulations, enjoy him x

I was the same, I couldn't have the CVS done due to where my placenta was it heightened the risk but I had the NIPT and it come back as Low risk so we just accepted that result. Towards the end my placenta was starting to fail so just make sure they keep a close eye and give extra growth scans! X
