Not sure if I have a bad cold or the flu.

I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant and last Friday and the Saturday just gone I had my flu jab and covid booster.
now ever since yesterday afternoon/evening I started coming down with what I thought was just a cold, lots of sneezing etc but then this morning I started going cold and hot, body aches, vomiting, a bit of a dry cough but not persistent and at one point a temp of 38.9 but it did drop after paracetamol.
I’m scared this is the flu.
I contacted my GP who were fully booked, I contacted my midwife who couldn’t do much other than advise me to ring 111 and 3 hours later I’m still waiting for a clinician to ring back.

This is my first pregnancy following a miscarriage so my anxiety is through the roof.

Im just wondering if anyone can shed any light on what this might be or could it just be an after affects of both jabs.

Sorry to hear you are feeling ill! Those do sound like you have a virus or something rather than side effects of the jabs. I don’t think there is much the GP can do though beyond recommending rest, fluids and paracetamol. I hope you recover soon. I had flu when pregnant and just to reassure you that my baby is five months old now and absolutely thriving x
