7 weeks and no morning sickness

Hi everyone,

I'm 7 weeks today, and haven't experienced one bit of morning sickness / nausea. It might sound silly but it's making me panic 🤦‍♀️

My pregnancy was with IVF, I had a 6 week 3 day scan last week. Heart beat was clear and good, all sizing was perfect. The only thing was that the sac is lower down towards my cervix rather than at the top, so I have a higher chance of miscarriage. Just panicking that lack of nausea is a sign 😫 I've got another scan on Thursday, I just want to see whether it's normal to have no nausea at all 🤷‍♀️ x

I had no nausea with my first. No signs whatsoever besides a little dizziness around 8-10 weeks! So try not to worry. Everyone is different 💛

longtimelurkerfirsttimeposter · 12/12/2022 11:05

I had no nausea at all with my first, in fact no symptoms whatsoever all the way through.
I did with my second, so I fully appreciate how lucky I was now!
Hope everything continues to go well and you're just one of the lucky ones x

No morning sickness with either of my two - absolutely nothing. Did I worry? Hell no. Who WANTS to spend 3 months vomiting???

WandaWonder · 12/12/2022 11:10

My child is a teenager, I get more morning sickness now than I ever did pregnant

SpinningFloppa · 12/12/2022 11:10

I have no morning sickness in all 4 of my pregnancies. It’s not a given.

AdoraBell · 12/12/2022 11:12

It’s different for every pregnancy. Don’t worry about it, enjoy your nausea free pregnancy. Congratulations.

Thanks everyone! It's my first pregnancy and after going through IVF, I feel like I'm on edge constantly. Will keep my fingers crossed I'm just lucky 🤞 xx

I've had two babies and not a moment of sickness with either so don't worry too much!

Sugarfree23 · 12/12/2022 14:17

I was much less sick with my IVF baby than my natural baby.
Once you've had a 6 week scan and saw heartbeat you have a 95% chance of a normal healthy baby. Enjoy your pregnancy.

QueenBee22 · 12/12/2022 20:46

Try not to worry everyone is different. You are one of the lucky ones! Some of my friends and colleagues had no nausea and vomiting at all and had (in their own words) lovely pregnancies that they really enjoyed. I was the opposite and had a difficult pregnancy with nausea and vomiting. I definitely wouldn't be wishing for nausea or vomiting!

I'm 35 weeks with my 3rd ivf baby. No symptoms whatsoever with any of them until they start kicking. Even now I forget I'm pregnant and just living completely normally. Try not to worry, although it's utterly impossible not to!

Penguinsmum · 12/12/2022 20:59

My little boy was IVF too. Didn't have even one sickness. All was absolutely fine. I'm sure yours will be too.

BackInTheDales · 12/12/2022 21:08

I had three babies, no sickness at all, not even during the births. I consider myself extremely lucky. My sister was the same, our mum however, 9 months of constant sickness with us two.

I put on 4 stone with each pregnancy though as I scoffed non stop.

I did suffer from a lot of headaches during pregnancy.
