How long should I wait before getting pregnant?

Good evening all , me and hubby would like to start trying for a family soon.

I have recently started a new job , just wondered how long I should wait as I have only been in my new job for 4 months. I was in my previous job for 6 years but had to leave that job as it was making me miserable!

I don’t want to annoy my new employer by getting pregnant so soon into a new role.

Any advice appreciated.

I would wait 6 months before trying but, in general, don’t wait!

As long as you’re going to be eligible for whatever maternity benefit you’re due (I don’t live in the UK so I don’t know how it works there) then I’d never put off ttc, you don’t know how long it will take.

It depends if you want to wait until you have been there long enough to be entitled to maternity pay. That is what I done. Had to wait approx 6 months after starting my job to start TTC.
