5 weeks pregnant and worried

Hi, wondering if anyone’s had this and been ok as I’m going out of my mind with worry..

We’ve been TTC for a few months and were overjoyed at a strong positive on 28/11. From then for about a week I was having some mild pregnancy symptoms.

On 04/12 at 4 weeks 3 days I took a Clearblue test with weeks indicator which put me at 1-2 weeks (which I know means 2-3) and since then I’ve been worried.

Since then the mild symptoms I had have slowly disappeared, I’ve had some light cramping on one side, and I’ve had some very light spotting on and off, last week it was so light that I didn’t worry too much. However yesterday morning (at 5 weeks 2 days) it was a bit heavier - a small amount of red which turned to brown for the rest of the day. I’ve not had anything today and no cramping with it.

I’ve been googling so much and convincing myself it’s an early loss/blighted ovum but I’m wondering if anyone has had this and been ok?! Also if you’ve had this and it’s resulted in a loss what was your experience? I’m mentally preparing myself for the worst while trying to cling on to some hope.

I’m going to call the GP in the morning and request a scan at the EPU.

thanks

Oops sorry yes I meant 3-4 🙈 I just would have expected it to be saying 2-3 at that point! I think I’m just worrying over every little thing.

I know early pregnancy is very stressful. It's best to call EPU to log but they will usually decline to scan you until 6-7 weeks. There is sadly nothing early on any of us can do to ensure a pregnancy sticks or doesn't. I did have early spotting and am now 18 weeks, which was likely implantation, for others it will unfortunately become heavier bleeding and be a loss.
