Hello
i hope somebody may be able to give me some advice on this
Im currently 6 weeks pregnant . I have 3 children already and have had 3 miscarriages aswell as a stillbirth - so various experiences of pregnancy some lovely and some heartbreaking .
this pregnancy I've become a little obsessed with testing and my first responses have got darker but not as dark as my other successful pregnancies . Still very positive and sue stealer level though.

My issue is clear blue digital weeks indicator ... wish I never started with these! Driving me crazy . I got a 1-2 on them at about 10 dpo and then took until 4 weeks 5 days to get a 2-3 and now at 6 weeks I'm still getting 2-3 weeks when it should be 3+

I know these tests are sometimes known to be inaccurate and Im hopefully that this is what's at play here but I'm also aware that I could be a sign of another impending miscarriage . Anybody had this happen and gone on to have a successful pregnancy ?

Sorry about your losses ☹️ I won't tell you not to worry because that's no help but I didn't get 3+ until 7 weeks if that reassures you at all! Those tests aren't super sensitive and everyone's HCG levels are different and as the levels increase by 50% every 48 hours, you might find you are only a day or two away from reaching their threshold for 3+

Thank you so much ! That's reassuring to know . I'm going to hopefully get an early scan to put the tests to bed one way or another ! X

@fizzyblush I watched a tiktok the other day and the lady got a 2-3 but her hcg was like 10,000 or something when tested at the drs on the same day, so I guess they’re really not that accurate!

Sorry for your losses ❤️

I’ve seen ladies on here who are in their 3rd trimester and still get 2-3 weeks on the CB indicators so I honestly wouldn’t put too much worry into it. Wishing you a nappy and healthy pregnancy x

*happy (although nappy is relevant!)

I would get hcg blood tests instead. I get them from Medichecks. I do still use the digital week tests while I'm waiting for bloods results. If you search for 'clearblue pdf' in google it will show that you may not get to 3 weeks on one of the tests until after hcg is up above 10000. If you search for 'babymom hcg doubling calculator' it gives a good explanation about how hcg growth starts to slow down too over 6000. There is also the hook effect on regular urine pregnancy tests once hcg gets to a certain high level.

I don't think you can take it as a sign of miscarriage unless you actually know how your hcg is rising.

I got up to 15000 hcg in September at 6w3d and had a MMC so hcg is only indicative to a certain extent. I'd thought things were ok as in previous losses at 5-6wks the hcg hadn't doubled well. The only thing I think that can be done is blood tests until you get a scan and both are still just indicative at that point in time, unfortunately. Please try not to stress, I know it is really hard though when you have had multiple losses. I have two daughters and I am very early in my 7th pregnancy, so feel very tentative, but hopeful. Also, I've thrown a lot of funds at getting blood tests, between early pregnancies and cycle day 2 hormone checks, but not sure how much difference it makes, in the long run, tbh other than maybe making me feel better!! I am planning to do weekly progesterone & hcg tests at 4wks, 5wks 6wks, etc, though again it might not actually make any difference!

Also, I am able to get a reassurance scan at my local early pregnancy unit by self-referring due to previous losses. They don't want to see me until 8wks from start of last menstrual period, but I ovulate from CD22-27, so with MMC I was 6w2d and saw a heartbeat. This time I should hopefully be 6w3d. Depending on where you are you could potentially get this too due to your previous losses?

Sorry I meant search for 'babymed hcg doubling calculator'...
