Cold/flu medication

Good morning,

I am currently 20 + 3 and have got this cold/flu that's going around. I feel like death and haven't slept at all last night due to my whole body aching.

I know I can take paracetamol (which is doing absolutely nothing) but is there anything else that I can safely take?

I feel awful and need to sleep

Possibly a calpol vapor plug ?

Not that I've found from the pharmacy.

Hot drinks - boil up a whole ginger root, have that with honey and lemon
Inhale steam to clear sinuses
Plenty of liquids
Eat foods/add to your food ginger, garlic, turmeric, chilli.

Interested in anything else!

Oh - and gargling with diluted TCP is ok

I'm 29+2 and just been knocked for six by this horrid winter virus going around.
Got over the aches and fever but the congestion is a killer when unable to medicate - found steaming my face and saline nasal spray are helping!
