Niggling back pains in early pregnancy

I am only about 6 weeks, and have these, is it normal? Quite painful...

I had a weird hip/back ache on my left from about 6 to 14 weeks (same time as the morning sickness abated). It got really painful (especially when lifting my leg up) and then an osteopath gave me a rolling from side-to-side with my knees bent exercise (he wouldn't do any manipulation during early pregnancy) which seemed to help. I still get the odd niggle now (25 weeks) but usually only after walking the dog for a hour or so, and it goes quickly. Congrats on your pregnancy.
