Hello all,

My partner is currently going through her first pregnancy and has HG, it started around week 6, currently 10+1. We have been back and forth to the doctors getting prescribed all the first line solutions (cyclizine, promethazine) then moved on to ondansetron. All of these had no effect on stopping the nausea and sickness. We would bounce on to one after the other, is there a certain amount of time you should give anti sickness to build up?

In and out of the hospital once a week to get fluids and anti sickness IV. She has now been given steroids, 20mg of prednisolone every morning. This helps to some degree for around 9 hours but when it starts hitting 4/5pm the sickness kicks off again (the nausea is always still there).

Can you use prednisolone and anti-sickness together? If so is it worth giving this a go? Steroids were our last hope of having something that could give her even a couple hours relief from this horrible condition.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
