31 week consultant appointment

So I had my 31 week consultant appointment today. Apart from the doctor realllllly trying hard to convince me to have a VBAC, I stood my ground and was clear that I wanted to have an ELCS.

I signed the consent form etc and she inputted the dates on the system, telling me that a date will automatically be generated and I'll receive a letter in the post telling me of my section date.

For those who have experienced the same, how long roughly does it take for a date to come through?

I'm too excited!! (And impatient)

ooh interesting... at my 20 week appt I basically had the opposite - was on the fence about VBAC (first baby was ELCS because breech), but she seemed keen for me to have another ELCS

I was given my section date the day I signed the forms (when I was roughly 26 weeks). They tend to book it from 39 weeks so mine was stuck in the diary for 39 weeks exactly but on the proviso if there are several emergency C Sections that day for example then it might be pushed back a day.
