Baby dropping low - labour near?

Hi all, after noticing a change in my bump shape my midwife confirmed last Thursday that my baby is head down and starting to engage as her head is dropping into my pelvis. Since then over the weekend the bump has dropped even lower, so I'm guessing she's gone even lower. I can now feel my ribs as there's more space up top, am a lot less breathless, but CONSTANTLY need to wee! 😂

For those who have had babies before, did your babies arrive not long after this happened or is this completely normal at this point? (I'm 35+4 today).

Just wondering if babies dropping down can possibly lead to them arriving soon after, or whether it doesn't matter at all and you can actually go weeks with them like this? x

With my second dc's head fully engaged at 36 weeks and I was waddling around sweating and pap

Oops sweating and panicking for a week. Then he popped back up again and was born at 40+5

Dc1 engaged at 32 weeks midwife predicted I'd be having baby early told me not to go away that weekend as I'd be along way from a hospital. I had dc1 1t 39+6 (it felt a long wait). Once dc engaged they didn't move however with dc2 they were in and out of engagement.

Unfortunately it means nothing :( My DD was engaged at 34 weeks but I didn’t have her until 40+5

Mine was low for ages and I ended up being induced and she was born at 41+6 so unfortunately doesn't mean anything
