I went into hospital yesterday (40w+5) to be induced due to increased fluid. Cervix was 2cm so they advised that the balloon/pecessary wasn’t needed as they could break my waters. Due to staffing issues however they said to go home and I’ll be called when they have a midwife available. This news was both positive and equally a little frustrating knowing I could have progressed that day if they had the staff.
Midwife did second sweep before I left and I think it’s doing something as I’ve had wavey back ache since 5pm yesterday which has intensified but isn’t getting more frequent atm. Any tips?
Is anyone else waiting for a call? Or was in this position recently?
Reality of the NHS pressures and backlog I assume!
