I've been feeling sick all day every day for a month, with sore boobs etc, and since yesterday I've just felt different, and the sickness seems to have gone, and my boobs don't feel very sore anymore. I thought symptoms all lasted til about 12 weeks - has anyone else had them go this early, or does it mean somthing is wrong? Thank sx

Sure the textbooks give us this 12 week number but i think the truth is we're all different. My experience wasn't the same as yours (hopefully someone with same will be along in a bit) but in my case wasn't 12 weeks but more like 17 weeks with ds1 and still sick by 30 weeks with ds2. I have known others with no symptoms at all early on. I can understand why it has made you concerned but I don't think it necessarily means anything bad. I hope someone with more experience will be along in a min.

Don't want to worry you but guessing youre already worried, ask gp for early scan as in my experience this was bad news for me.The sooner you can confirm or releive your fears the better.Do it today.

my sickness had subsided by about 9 weeks. I found tiredness seemed to be the lingering one - 25 weeks now and still knackered. My iron count is very good too.
It can take at least 2 weeks for preg hormones to leave your system in the worst case so unless you have had any bleeding i would not worry for now. Be thankful your feeling so good

Appreicaite while it lasts! I'm 23 weeks and at the start was having symptoms in waves where I would get a few days of feeling normal and then it would come back and it me again. It's very normal.

I am newly pg and my SIL said to me "don't panic if your symtpoms dissapear as mine went totally at 8 weeks for a few days and then came back"!

redadmiral · 01/02/2008 10:58

Mine did this and I got in a panic. All was fine.

Thanks thebeanmonster - have just been to gp, and they've got me a scan for monday. It's not going to be a fun weekend though!

I'm nearly 7 weeks and have been feeling the same worry in the last couple days. I started feeling ill and very tired at around 5 1/2 weeks and then suddenly I feel fine again. Part of me knows it's probably normal and I should just be thankful but then I did have some semi-heavy cramps on Wednesday night and had to put a hot water bottle on my tummy to make it feel better. It feels like it will be an eternity until my scan at 12 weeks.

No I think I stopped feeling sick about that time (was certainly not much later as remember having scan at 9 weeks and worrying as felt ok then)... but beware started to feel so tired I was like a zombie from about 9 -13 weeks...Re boobs i think you just get used to them

Good luck for Monday.
