Good morning.

I had a growth scan in Friday due to fundamental height measurements causing concern and my baby is supposedly on the 48th centile, everything lookong perfectly average and no worries.

However I'm confused by the estimated weight. My report says her estimated weight is 3lb 14oz (or about 1757g). The sonographer said she was about 'three and a half pounds' which diesnt match what's in my report. The Baby Centre app I used says average weight at this stage is closer to 3.3lb as do lots of sites I've looked at for size charts so I'm a bit confused.

Is she actually weighing a fair bit more than average or is my chart correct that at 3lb 14oz she's weighing in the 46th centile?

I know this seems like a minor thing but I had a traumatic birth with my first that resulted in an EMCS. I'm keen for a VBAC this time and the thought of having a bigger baby is worrying me.

Thank you.

At my 32+2 growth scan estimated weight was 2104g and showing just over 50th centile. Can't comment on birth weight as I'm 39+6 with a baby still stubbornly in there 😩😂. Do you have a growth chart in your notes? The scan weights are estimates though so who knows until they make their appearance
