Help! Clogged and ringing sounds in one ear

I was just sitting on the sofa and my left ear suddenly was just clogged and I started hearing the ringing sounds. It’s been 3 days since and the ringing seems to get louder/worse. I hadn’t been swimming or going on a plane, and my ears are clean no ear wax.

I have tried yawning, chewing, blocking my nostrils, lips and blow. Nothing works! I wanted to call GP but I doubt they will give me an appointment. Currently 24W pregnant if that’s relevant.

I had this my whole pregnancy! Had hearing checks and it was to do with the excess fluid you get when pregnant. Felt like I was constantly under water. My nose was really blocked too especially at night. Went away after I gave birth.

Also the tinnitus is helped at night with white noise as it sort of drowns it out. Means you can get used to white noise at night before the baby comes too x

I had this for about 3/4 weeks during beginning of 2nd trimester. Awful but did eventually go, I got everything possible to help from over counter chemist

@EcoLife My gosh the whole pregnancy?! I already feel like going mad after a few days. Did you doctor do something about it or just tell you to suck it up?

@Cas112 Glad to hear it went away for you! Could you remember particularly what worked or it just went away one day?

I'm the same. Id describe mine as pigeon like calls and comes and goes. No idea if theres anything that can be done. I have a midwife appointment soon and will ask

@Rose429 they said it was just one of those things annoyingly! I found sometimes my ears would randomly clear but no idea why. It does go though and I found I did sort of get used to it.
