Missed miscarriage?

Hi all, was delighted to conceived our second baby after a loss in 2018. Date of my last period was 11th October and my bfp was 9th November. I went for a private reassurance scan today and was told the sac is only 13mm (no heartbeat she said it was too small to see) whereas the sac should be 20mm according to my dates. The clinic have said I may not be that far along but surely I wouldn't have got a bfp on 9th November? I've had no bleeding and are having usual pregnancy symptoms but I'm suspecting a missed miscarriage. I have booked in for another scan on 17th December but the wait is agonising. Has anyone been through anything like this before please? Really not sure what to do sorry.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do but wait.
I had a really early bfp at what I presumed was 8dpo and at what I thought was my 7 week scan, I was dated back by a whole week. It worried me so much!
I had my 12 week scan this week and was put forward by 4 days.
Sperm can survive up to 6 days, ovulation is 24-48 hours after lh surge, and implantation can also take a few days.
Try not to worry too much at this point. I know it's easier said than done though.
Hope it all goes well x

My daughter has recently suffered 2 missed miscarriages. She was told to contact the early pregnancy dept when she fell pregnant again. She has just discovered she is pregnant for the third time. When she phoned them they said they will scan her at 7 weeks & all being well they will give her progesterone. She told them that with the previous 2 pregnancies she started to miscarry before the 7 weeks and asked if she could have the progesterone earlier but the hospital said no, they didn’t explain the reasons & were not very sympathetic.
Can anyone offer any help or advice please.
thank you.

So sorry to hear about your daughter. I had two miscarriages last year, both at 7 weeks exactly and both times the s an showed nothing or an empty 5 week sac. Upon finding out we were pregnant again, our EPU were fab in giving me progesterone straightaway and booked me in for a scan at 6 weeks. I think the only thing I had to agree to is that there could be a risk of supporting an ectopic pregnancy if progesterone is taken before a scan. However, like your daughter, I knew that I needed to do something before 7 weeks x
