Discharge for 2 weeks

Hello everyone ,
Been asleep on the couch , seems to be a common thing just now !
I will be 8 weeks on Saturday -was just wondering if anyone knew when bleeding has been mentioned on threads here - does that mean red blood?
I have had a brown discharge (or spotting - is spotting just a tiny bit? )for nearly 2 weeks now - had a scan last Friday at the local well woman clinic and everything was ok but they thought i wasn't as far on as i thought , have another scan at EPU on Friday first thing but this morning the discharge has turned to more - but still brown - more of it and more liquidy like start of my period - more when i wipe every time (sorry)

I worked out my period would have been due in the next couple of days but i have discomfort along with this too - but - have had irritable bowel that was controlled by antidepressants which i have just come off - so it is back and i'm not sure if the pains are the IBS or baby.

Not sure whether to wait till Friday for the scan or should i phone them tomorrow ?
I have a horrible feeling as i read on another thread , am sort of trying to prepare myself for the worst.
Any thoughts?

Thankyou
xxx

Sorry I can't help cosybear. I wasn't ignoring you - just don't have any advice.

Except perhaps to ring your doctor in the morning if you're really worried.

Honey, I think you should ring them today if you're this worried. It may be nothing, it may be something. I really hope you're OK. xxxx

Have they seen a heartbeat yet? Once you've seen a heartbeat your chances of miscarriage absolutely plummet. If it is a m/c (which it doesn't sound like atm - I am another one with lots of brown spotting which went on for ages) then there is nothing that can be done, so if you can bear it, hang on until tomorrow. Good luck. I also was told the foetus was small for dates, but on the next scan it was bang on - either my dd had had a growth spurt, or, and I think this more likely, they'd just measured a bit small. Easy to do with a foetus this weeny. Good luck.

Cosybear, I am by no means an expert on this, but when I miscarried it was definitely red blood and people told me that brown blood was ok (well, not ok but you know what I mean) because it was old blood. Have you got an EPU that you can pop along to today for a scan?
((hugs))

Thankyou all for you replies .
I'm very sad - had a scan this morning as had a wee bit of blood and they saw two sacs - one not developed and the one with the heartbeat last week has not grown and there's no heartbeat now.
I've to go back next Thirs for another scan to confirm baby's not growing then decide what to do if it's not happened naturally.
I appreciate all your messages and i will miss being on the July board.
Good luck to you all and hoping you have healthy happy pregnancies.
