Hcg not doubling, no yolk sack

So by my dates I should be 8+3 but that’s very hard to tell as my cycles are very irregular and can be long. Last Friday I done a clear blue test and it said pregnant 3+, due to having blocked Fallopian tubes I was told by gynaecologist that would put me at at risk of ectopic pregnancy if I ever conceive naturally.
On the Friday night I got a Hcg test and it was 2685, repeated on Monday (around 58 -60 hrs later) it was 5600, the doctor said that it’s not as high as they would expect it to be after the amount of hours that have passed so I was booked for a scan on the Thursday.
after an hour and a half of scanning the consultant came in and had a look, she informed me that there is no yolk sac present and there is a small bleed beside the gestational sac. The gestational sac is also too small to be measured so they couldn’t tell me how far along the pregnancy is.
I was advised all I can do is cross my fingers and hope that I’m just really early at my follow up scan next week.
I’ve been ttc for 3 years and I was due to start IVF soon.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and what was the outcome??

Is this similar to a molar pregnancy? I had one many years ago and thats how the specialist explained it to me, imagine an egg with no yolk. But i think my hcg were sky high rather than lower and it caused me to be really ill. I had to get a procedure to end the pregnancy.
