Concerned about gp appointments

Hi all,
I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I had quite a lot of gp appointments at the start. I've been to every scan at the hospital and I've been to the hospital in between too when I was concerned about pain etc. I tried to arrange an appointment at the doctors at 32 weeks and nobody got back to me, now I'm really concerned this will look bad as my last gp appointment was around 24 weeks. I think I've been so busy with college I just let it go but I'm so worried they'll think I'm irresponsible :(

GP appointment or midwife appointment?

Baddaze · 01/12/2022 19:43

@mummyh2016 mummyh2016 GP appointment, sorry it's confusing. I haven't been to see the GP in a while but have been to all the midwife appointments at the hospital.

Unless you have any other conditions there shouldn't be a need for you to see a GP.

@mummyh2016 I thought so too, the doctor didn't say anything about follow up appointments then I was reading that here in Ireland we're supposed to have GP check ups every few weeks after 26 weeks..it's all so confusing. Sorry for the random post you're very kind for replying.

I’m in Ireland. It’s not too big a deal re gp appts once you go to midwife ones.

Baddaze · 02/12/2022 10:10

@Garman thank you, I think I've just been trying to do everything right and feeling a bit anxious

No need to see a GP assuming midwives are happy
