Boy potty shot or cord

Hi so I’ve had a gender reveal scan at 16+4 and they’ve said boy which looking at the scan looks so obvious but I’m starting to question if it could be the cord?? I’ve looked at 100’s of confirmed boy potty shots on the internet and not one looked similar. To me it looks too long and dead straight at the sides so is more similar to the cord shape than the boy potty shots I’ve seen. I’m not in denial and would love to have a boy but somethings just niggling away at me that it isn’t correct. The sonographer was so quick and rushed and only looked the once when I asked if they had the gender he said yep found I straight away no need to look again they wasn’t hiding. I trust they no what there looking for but a lot of people I’ve showed his potty shot too have also questions if it’s the cord and it hasn’t looked anything like there boys bits? Any advice or am I being ridiculous 😂

Hmmm it does look like an odd shape. I've had 3 boys and my boys potty shot scans at this gestation were quite as obvious lol! I'd ring and ask for a second opinion. Or wait for your 20 week scan x

Yep, that’s a boy! I don’t usually comment on these but I had the same worries at my scan too- this is mine at 17w. He’s now 2! (Sorry for the poor picture quality though.)
The round black bit on the scan is the bladder apparently, which you can only see from the ‘potty shot’ angle on boys :)

The term "potty shot" is hideous, frankly. Can't we think of something better?

Thankyou for replying, it does look odd doesn’t it. My 20 week scan is in 16 days so I’m just going to have a long wait until then so they can double check xx

It's a boy. The cord doesn't look like that. On the picture that another poster has posted of her girl, if you look at the bit floating between the legs with the lines? That's cord.
