Miscarriage - how long do the symptoms last?

I would have been about 7½ weeks today. I've had back ache and cramping since before I was due my period and its just gradually got worse. Its constant now and pretty bad.
My spotting started a week ago and progessed to bleeding after a couple of days. I'm now as heavy as a period and passing clots.
I had the scan today and they couldn't find anything inside so I've either passed it already or its ectopic.
I'm more than ready to be done with it. How long should I expect to still be in bad pain and bleeding heavily for?

It depends really. With my first MC it was all over and done with in a few hours and then period like bleeding for a week or so. With another I had pains/bleeding/clots on and off for 3 days followed by a week of period like bleeding.

The first one was about 9 weeks and the second was 11 weeks.

Thank you. I hope you've had a successful one since! At the moment I'm just greatful I can take something stronger than paracetamol and a hot water bottle for the pain!
