I am 19+3 and for the second time this week have had terrible stomach cramps. First time on Monday and now again today - so much that I couldn't get off the loo.

Phoned midwife department who said either see your GP or go to Forth Park - 45 minute drive from home.

Before I go nuts on the phone, is this right? My ante-natal clinic where all my care is and scans are at the moment is 5 minutes away but I give birth at Forth Park 45 minutes away.

May be I should take myself to A&E

If its just the runs, there isnt an awful lot they will do for you

If I were you I would go to A&E. It maybe that the ante-natal clinic is only available on certain days/times. My antenatal clinic only runs on a Friday. Hope this helps, and its nothing serious, good luck.xxx

Where are you? Will there be MW at the clinic or maybe are they out just now?

Is this your first?

Perhaps go to GP, NOW so that you can hopefully get fears allayed. I did that at 4wks, to find out pain was urine infection, but I just drove there and refused to leave until a GP came out o f meeting to check me over. I know GPs are not experts in pregnancy but worth starting there, cos if he/she feels it needs further investigating they'll get it organised immediately.

Let me know how you get on please?
