Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi!

Im currently 5 weeks pregnant, first time since miscarriage in April at 10 weeks.

I’m trying to be positive this time and remember it’s a new pregnancy etc, however, I’m having little symptoms so far. My nipples have been sore and boobs have been a bit tender and I’ve been bloated but that’s it. I’ve seen other people say their boobs were so sore they couldn’t touch them!

Is it normal to not have much symptom wise yet? I’m worried it’s going to end in miscarriage again!

Yes it's normal.

Sorry for your loss and congratulations on your pregnancy.

I had a mmc at 10 weeks last December and then fell pregnant again in the January. I was anxious until around 20 weeks but currently feeding my 7 week old.

Be kind to yourself and I hope you can relax and enjoy a healthy pregnancy

Remember everyone's symptoms are different - sometimes the same woman will have different symptoms in each pregnancy
Google is not a doctor or helpful for anxiety!

@WingingIt101 Ahhh congratulations on your baby! That’s lovely. And thanks so much for your message, you’ve made me feel a lot better! I do just need to try and relax and not go on google! I’m a nightmare for that! Google every single thing and it drives my anxiety through the roof 😂!! X

I've had 3 MC now and each time symptoms have been different. MC at 8w - hardly any pregnancy symptoms. MC at 9w, some symptoms. MC at 6w - loads of pregnancy symptoms! Not only every body is different, but every pregnancy is too.

I'm now 20w with DC2 and even this pregnancy is different to DC1 as well. Unfortunately the anxiety never really leaves 9nce you've experienced loss though, I'm sorry you've been through that. Congratulations on your pregnancy 😍

@PO1990 i haven’t experienced loss but I have had anxiety through lack of symptoms.
Basically all I’ve had is needing to wee more, swollen boobs but not particularly sore and I had a bit of bloat but that’s about it.
We had a scan at 7 and 9 weeks due to the anxiety of it all and so far so good 🤞🏻(11 weeks nearly)

I am now 17 weeks after 3 mc.... I started to get symptoms around week 6... nausea and vomiting which I still have unfortunately. Every pregnancy is different though. Hope all goes well xx

Hello @Margo34 @sjmco @firsttimelondonmummy Thank you so much for your messages! You’ve all really helped put my mind at ease! I never thought I’d say it but I can’t wait to feel sick, or have sore boobs 😂 but it’s so good to hear that it’s not necessarily a given that you’ll have those symptoms! I’ll take it day by day and try and keep off google haha! Congratulations on all your pregnancies xx

My friend has just had her first baby - all healthy - and had no symptoms at all for the first 7 weeks.

I get it, OP, I tested positive 2 days ago after a MC at 12 weeks. I've never had a live birth so i dont know what 'normal' is. But there are some women who have HG, some women who barely feel nauseous. All we can do is take one step at a time and not borrow worry from the future.

@PO1990 Im in the exact same boat as you so you’re not alone!! I’m nearly 5 weeks after a mmc in July. I’ve got sore boobs and nipples too and cramps every now and then but nothing major to report! I’d love a bit of sickness right now but I’ve only been gagging so far🤣

PO1990 · 29/11/2022 17:37

Hi @ChloeN @Whataretheodds Thanks both so much for messaging! You’ve both made me feel so much better knowing it’s not just me! @Whataretheodds - I know, there’s literally no point, and I do just torture myself, just going to take a day at a time and remember everyone’s different! @ChloeN Omg I know, my husband made a sausage sandwich yesterday in the frying pan and I had to leave the room cause the smell was knocking me a bit but that’s as far as it’s gone! My sister-in-law is 16 weeks and had such bad morning sickness and I was saying to her the other day, I really hope I get that 😂 she said I might think differently if it does hit me lol!! Xx
