Can’t find anything to wear - feeling rubbish

I’m 15 weeks pregnant but I’m clearly showing; it’s a bit of a B shaped belly so I’m very conscious I just look fat (although many friends have reassured me otherwise…but they’re my friends so they have to say that!).

I’m going to a wedding in a few weeks when I’ll be just shy of 20 weeks. I know I have time to grow etc but I cannot for the life of me find a dress, and I’m beginning to feel rubbish about it all. I think I need a tight one as otherwise I look like I’m just trying to hide weight gain!

Anyone got any suggestions? I’ve trawled ASOS for hours but nothing stood out - why are they all either grumpy or barely there?!

For context I’m 28 and I’m the first one to have a baby out of the group of us going to the wedding (and not all of them know, extra stress!)

TIA x

I've seen lots of nice event type dresses on vinted, it might be worth a look. (I have no occasion for fancy maternity wear). In my experience most maternity wear will stretch to accommodate whatever bump size. I'm currently 13 weeks and wearing maternity wear I was wearing at 42 weeks pregnant last time and it all fits well!

Look at Seraphine, alot of their maternity occasion wear is on sale atm.

I agree with vinted as well, you could also try Shein? I haven't bought any from there but some of them look good

Gah I feel your pain. I can never find anything to wear that fits anymore except old baggy clothes and I just look fat/scruffy all the time! 😤 I second Vinted the stuff you can find on there for so cheap its great, also, if you search up 'bodycon' dresses I find they are particularly flattering at showing off pregnancy bumps 😁 I love Shein as well like another poster mentioned BUT I've been avoiding Shein products with metal parts e.g. necklaces, dresses with chains while being pregnant. Not trying to freak you out but Shein isn't particularly reliable and there's been cases in the past where items like purses have been found to have toxic levels of lead. I would just avoid during pregnancy, just in case

Yours clothing have some lovely dresses, although sizes start at 14-16 so apologies if you are smaller size than this (but could be a benefit as they will have more room). I find their sizes come up quite big.

Quiz also do lovely dresses.

ClubL london have lovely maternity dresses for occasions. Iv just ordered one for next month :)

Search for Tiffany Rose on Vinted. They seem to be the only brand that imo that aren’t frumpy, mumsy (looking at you Frugi/JoJo) or boring. Very expensive full price. Seraphine is good too but can be hit and miss. I wear bright bold colours and few patterns, being pregnant is miserable fashionwise.

My solution to the 'pregnant or fat' debate was to pose with my hand on my belly for every photo!
I have a B belly even when I'm not pregnant, so I preferred things that draped over the bump - wrap dresses and a-line dresses I bought last time are still in regular rotation in my wardrobe

@Awkwardusername I totally get how you’re feeling. For dressed try Newlook maternity, Seraphine, isobella Oliver (they do rentals too) and John Lewis sale- I also brought a tie at the waste from Boden sale- not maternity but this is actually one of my faves as there’s not lots of ‘extra’ fabric. Try not to let it get you down, it’s tough having to dress for a totally different body shape all of a sudden x

New look is good and nobody’s child have some nice maternity dresses that would be good for a wedding!
