I’m in panic mode! I only bought this chicken yesterday (Tesco BBQ prepacked) and I fancied some for lunch. I didn’t heat it up because I normally enjoy it cold with a salad. (The package does specify can be eaten hot or cold). Half way through, I noticed the use by date was yesterday!! I stopped eating straight away, but now I’m worried. I’m 19+5 weeks. How worried should I be???

Not worried at all.

I'd get yourself down the hospital babe! You just can't risk it, I would demand to be admitted for observations.

Actual lol. Cheers!

Not at all worried. Something that was still in date at midnight, is not going to make you ill twelve hours later. I’m sure you’ll be fine.

I hope this isn’t sarcasm because as someone who has previously lost their baby during pregnancy, even the tiny things bring on anxiety and a lot of guilt.

You will be absolutely fine. If its been kept in the fridge and in unopened packaging it won't be off.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 27/11/2022 12:42

It’ll be absolutely fine. Try not to stress!

One day over is fine. I’d eat it!

Hi how did this turn out? I did the same except the prepacked cooked chicken was 2 days out :(
