Bleeding - Feeling drained 😔

Hey guys,

Just need to write this down somewhere in the hope someone can relate.

On Thursday I started spotting light pink when I wiped... it stopped by the evening so didn't think much of it. Had my midwife booking appointment on Friday morning but she said pink can be normal and it's bright red they worry about.

Friday afternoon the spotting got worse and darker... Still not bright red. Between then and now I've had constant dark pink and brown spotting every time I wipe. Never enough to end up on a liner but every time I wipe there's something. Seems to get worse after a BM (TMI) weirdly. No major cramps but a bit of lower back pain.

I should be 9+6 judging by my last period.

Had a miscarriage in June/July time and it progressed quicker than this and was bright red blood so I'm honestly feeling so drained and confused.

We have a scan tomorrow afternoon but just needed to write this down and get it off my chest I guess. 😓

Could it be your placenta implanting I seem to recall I had very mild brown spotting around a similar time, and after a referred scan the hospital concluded it was most likely a result of my placenta embedding itself. Fingers crossed for this afternoon’s scan 🤞🏻

@Tonixo I had this occasionally - usually after a BM as well.

First pregnancy was bright red spotting, second was pink. Both times baby was fine.

Blood doesn't always mean something is wrong, but there is a risk that it could be of course. If it's still just light spotting try to stay positive.

Sadly, the bleeding is heavier now and bright red. Mainly when I wipe and like a medium flow period 😥Not feeling very hopeful.

Not much pain but the odd crampy feeling.

Feel so deflated and heartbroken. Just want it over and done with if it is a loss.

So sorry to hear @Tonixo . I had bright red bleeding at 8, 10 and 13 weeks and all has been OK so far (28 weeks currently). I assumed the worst and went for a scan and 8 weeks and was shocked that everything was OK. Also sending positive thoughts and hoping things work out for you.

Ive had this intermittently all the way through and im currently 31 weeks. Most recent was 2 weeks ago. They are very laid back about it!

We went for the ultrasound yesterday and the baby hadn't developed past 6 weeks. No heartbeat.

I then stood up off the table and bled all over the floor with clots etc. 😔 Poor nurse didn't know what to do.
