Bit worried, is this positive?

I am on the mini pill destrogel, take it religiously, never miss any pills and always take it round about the same time everyday. Haven’t been unwell either so no chance of it not having been absorbed. Haven’t been on any antibiotics either.
Been feeling a bit nauseous sometimes so thought I’d just do a test and seen this. Does it look positive or could it be a bad evap? It came up pretty quick. I already have a 10yo DS and was hoping to have another child in the near future but not right now hence being on birth control.
(Posted on pregnancy choices and didn't get any answers so posting on here sorry)
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Not sure, check tomorrow morning first urine of the day. If still unsure after tomorrow's test leave it a few days and recheck. Always first wee of the day as that is when it's most concentrated and so the pregnancy hormones if there will be easily detected

Meltingsocks · 26/11/2022 14:04

I think it is, can you get a decent quality test E.g first response to check? Good luck OP

CosyWintersNight · 26/11/2022 14:21

Thank you for your replies. I have ordered a first response and my sister brought over another brand for me to try tomorrow morning.

I’m pretty sure there’s a faint line. Good luck with your tests tomorrow and over the next few days. Hope you get the answer you want

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 26/11/2022 17:56

It looks like a faint positive but these tests are pretty shitty and can have evaps. The FRER will tell you tomorrow morning for sure x

CosyWintersNight · 26/11/2022 19:16

Thank you, will do another test tomorrow and see if there's a difference. Thanks everyone x

It does look like a very faint positive. Do you get periods? Just something to keep in mind, if you’re farther on in a pregnancy there’s a chance for the hook effect so if there is a negative tomorrow with FMU, my advice is to do a test with half urine and half water as well to make sure. Good luck and I hope you get the answer you want.

No I don't get periods but I have been lightly bleeding for the past month or so. I had a gynae app and she said it was just how my body was on the mini pill. I have an ultrasound appointment on Monday as they want to check the bleeding isn't being caused by anything more than the pill but the doctor said she's not worried.
So I guess I'll know for sure if I'm pregnant or not when I get the scan.
I have been on 2 different mini pills and bled with both. Always had negative tests up until today.
Will try again in the morning with tests and with what you suggested. Thank you

These are the tests this morning but only 4/5 hour holding pee. Didn't realise the frer tests I ordered won't be coming till later in the week.
I'm starting to think the tests are just bad for evaps?
I did test a few days before that and it was a definite negative so not sure what's going on.
Guess I'll find out tomorrow for sure.
Are clear blue tests bad for false positives? I have 2 of those but heard bad reviews from them

Can you get a first response test? I used the strip tests when ttc and had a couple like occasionally and they never progressed darker. I think first response are clearer and you'd get more accurate line with them.

Good luck x

I did manage to order some but realised the delivery isn't due until Saturday next week 🤦🏻‍♀️ I did go to a few shops this morning but they only had clearblue unfortunately.
Will see what I can do. Thanks for replying Smile x

It does look positive. Tbh I'd go back to the shop and buy a clear blue just to tide you over until the frer comes

ImNotBossyImtheBoss · 27/11/2022 13:54

If you are going for an ultrasound tomorrow I would just wait until then. No point squinting at lines for another 24 hours if you're soon to get a direct womb view.

Foxglovesandlilacs86 · 27/11/2022 14:28

Wow if that first response one was taken within the time frame then I’d say that’s positive!

ecnatsid · 28/11/2022 20:54

Hows you get on OP

CosyWintersNight · 29/11/2022 09:24

Hospital said they couldn’t see anything, said it could be too early as I was getting super faint results. Was still getting the faint positives yesterday.
Done 1 this morning and it looks like just a shadow. I’ve written to the supplier to complain.
I have 1 frer I’m going to use and then I’ll know my answer for sure but I’m convinced those were all bad tests.
I even tested 1 with water to see if it’d come up positive but it was a definite negative.
Sounds stupid but feeling a bit sad today. I know I wasn’t trying as I’m on the pill but it started to sink in that there was a chance I was pregnant.
Thanks to everybody that took the time to reply to me

Multiple faint positives across different brands I'd say is more likely to be a chemical pregnancy than many false positive tests. FRER will detect HCG right down to a level of 6 and I think the cheap strips are 10miu so pick up v low levels caused by chemicals.

I'm sorry you are feeling sad and hope things improve from here x
