Chicken pox!!

We have chiken pox in the nursery I manage and i have not had it, although logically i have been exposed to it far more often than your average joe so thinking i may have immuniy??

Spoken to doctor, gotta go for blood test and await results. Read up on risks if i do get it, not great

What do you guys think?? Should i be really worried. Staying firmly put in my office away from the little ones!

18 weeks so 2 weeks of that magical 20 weeks - shouldn't be a problem phase. Trying to be rational but under the weather and thinking 'ohh sore throat, i must be getting it!'

I had a similar panic when there was an outbreak at school (I'm a teacher). Had test and had immunity, doc seemed pretty sure I would be immune even before test - I should think the same would apply to you. She also got very cross with me for worrying "a little knowledge is a bad thing"! And said she had never encountered anyone who had any kind of pregnancy related problem with chicken pox (and she was old). I have been carefull not to google so much ever since!

Thanks piggyp, you have made me feel so much better. Sort of convinced myself i was most likely immune anyway, will have test to be certain but feel lot happier now.
