I posted a few days ago saying I had been playing mini golf & bowling with my son I’m currently 9+3 & after bending down to get the ball in mini golf a good few times & throwing the bowling ball a few times my stomach tensed up & had some pain i had to use the ramps. I was worried incase something had happened. It’s been 2 days & all my symptoms have disappeared since that night my boobs are no longer sore & I'm not bloated & I’m really worried something has happened has anyone else done these activities during the first trimester?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You poor love. No matter what is happening with your pregnancy, golf and bowling are not the cause. Truly. If we could end pregnancies so easily the world would be a different place. I hope you have a good outcome but no matter what, you haven’t caused anything by playing with your son x

Possibly your softening ligaments reacting to the exercise? I wouldn't worry about those activities.

Thank you I was surprised when my stomach started hurting I never done anything like that when pregnant with my son & the bowling balls were heavy I probably shouldn’t have been lifting them I had a missed miscarriage a year and a half ago so I’m worried about that again just don’t know why my symptoms have disappeared

My symptoms completely disappeared between 8+4 and 9+4, then they returned. I paid for a private scan for reassurance during that week. It turns out symptoms can just fluctuate sometimes with hormones levelling out. I mentioned it to the midwife at the booking app at 9+1 and she said it’s common for them to disappear, everyone is different. I’m currently 17 weeks and other than my usual small food belly I wouldn’t be able to tell.

If you are concerned can you call your midwife for reassurance? Or go for a private scan?

I went for a private scan on Monday everything was fine then went to bowling & mini golf on Wednesday it was just the fact they disappeared right after we went bowling etc & had the stomach pain during these activities
