This pregnancy has been one thing after another. Hyperemesis until 15 weeks, an NIPT which gave me the wrong sex of baby resulting in a shock at my 20 week scan. Low lying anterior cervix which will need monitoring. I’m also type 1 diabetic and rhesus negative and have all the complications that come with that. Baby looks healthy on the scans which is the main thing but the conflicting NIPT/ultrasound has thrown up the possibility of some kind of sex chromosome issue so I’m having an amnio on Monday so I can, hopefully, rule that out and move on.

Anyone else? Here to lend an ear to anyone else in a similar(ish) situation. It feels like everyone else has these great pregnancies and mine has just been stress after stress.

Hi OP, so sorry you are going though so much of stress! Can totally empathize with you..

I am 28 wks today and can definitely say I have been having a difficult pregnancy too.. but my issues are much more related to mental health..

Rainbow pregnancy after two MC s, have been in and out of the hospital countless times for repeat scans and appointments. First trimester went in total anxiety whether this pregnancy is staying or what.. and had horrendous morning sickness+vomiting

Lost my dad to cancer when I just entered second trimester and had to air travel 5000+ miles to be with the family. Miss my dad every day and still struggle with his loss 🥺

Fast forward to 20 week scan, baby has an isolated echogenic bowel and did a ton of blood tests including NIPT. Fortunately everything came back normal but have been put on growth scans every two weeks😵‍💫

Have been in and out of the hospital couple of times for reduced fetal movements too.

Now at 28 wks, I am potentially diabetic, waiting for the GTT and terrified to eat because I could be harming the baby 😵‍💫

Just one after the other! This anxiety is just crippling and feeling ever so lonely in a country which isn't my native.. just hope I will have my lovely girl in my arms as a happy and healthy baby 🙏
