Looking for some advice

Has anyone experienced similar….
I had a period earlier in the month, was a day shorter than normal. Then 6 days later I had awful pelvic pain with fresh bleeding for 24hrs. Then the day after I had quite a lot of dark blood with small clots. Some brown spotting then all stopped.
I did a pregnancy test on Monday which was positive. I worked out I would be just under 6 weeks pregnant.
my friend who is a midwife said it sounded like I had had a miscarriage and to test again in 1 and then 2 weeks.
Ive tested twice since and it’s still quite a strong positive…. I have sore boobs etc too.
This doesn’t strike me as a miscarriage and obviously I know I need to have a scan and be seen which I will but the waiting around is horrid. Has anyone else strong positives and symptoms after a miscarriage?

It sounds like it could be that you are simply pregnant, or it could be ectopic potentially as these are symptoms sometimes associated with ectopic. If you are about 6 weeks they should be able to locate the pregnancy. I would contact the hospital/ epau asap to get a scan in, as ectopic can be very serious indeed if left untreated. Hopefully you are simply pregnant and you've had a bit of bleeding and all is well. But you need to be checked over.
