Stitch pain in side/top of bump 20 weeks

Has anyone experienced a stitch type pain in the side or top of their bump at this point of pregnancy? It is worse if I move or try to turn.

hoping it is too high from baby to be anything really concerning but it is very uncomfortable 😟

My midwife always asks me if I've had any pain in my stomach/top of bump area as part of her questions about pre eclampsia. That said, I got a lot of pain at the top of my bump during the second trimester, it felt like my abdominal muscles were being ripped off my sternum. A belly belt helped.

@tb4122 rhank you for the response! It seemed to progress so I got seen tobight. They couldn’t find any reason for it so put it down to muscular and heartbeat for little one was good etc!

pregnancy pain etc is so random and intense at times! Xx

I've had this both pregnancies and sadly it didn't go till baby dropped. I found laying down on my back would ease it for a bit and sitting up would really exacerbate it as time went on.

@greenerfingers oh no ! It’s so painful isn’t it? I felt like every time I sat down I was being stabbed. If I took a deeper breathe it would get worse! 🙈 was so scary.

tbey think it may have. Wen a case of complete trapped wind - felt awful for going there when it may have been that but the pain was so bad. Xx
