I’m 9 weeks pregnant, I went to play mini golf & bowling with my son yesterday. After bending down a few times to pick my golf ball up I had to ask my partner to keep picking it up for me as my stomach was getting sore. Then we played bowling & after a few shots I had to use the ramps as I couldn’t keep bending down & throwing the ball. I’m worried I’ve done too much & somethings happened normally when I take my bra off at night my boobs are sore however last night they weren’t as sore. Is it safe to do these things when pregnant I’m not an overly physical person as it is.

The risk is more to you, your joints and ligaments are looser during pregnancy so you’re more likely to injure yourself. I wouldn’t say those are particularly strenuous activities though so I am sure you will be fine after a bit of rest. It won’t harm your baby though, which I guess is your bigger concern. I was actually chatting with my Dr about this a couple of weeks ago as my 2yr old loves to be cuddled and carried (and I’m not ready to stop!) and I was worried about any risks. She confirmed the above about it being only a risk to me and to listen to my body.

At 9 weeks pregnant the baby is teeny tiny and well within your pelvis so very unlikely to be the cause of your tummy feeling hard.

bending down like PP said isn’t strenuous and pretty safe to do at any point in your pregnancy, mums of more than one end up carrying older children and lifting things etc, you might have over extended your joints as joints and ligaments are loser in pregnancy. Baby will be absolutely fine
