Bleeding in pregnancy

Hi, I am 9 weeks pregnant this is my first pregnancy and the past 3 days I have had some blood when wiping after going for a wee. I have looked up loads of different stuff online and called my midwife yesterday who said she doesn’t think it’s anything worrying and just to keep an eye on it. I have no cramping or any pains but people who I have spoken to who have been pregnant before have never experienced it so I kinda feel alone and obvs blood is a bit scary when your pregnant. Anyone have any advice or speak to me about their experience?

Hello! I hope that you are ok, i can only speak from my experience and all people differ but i have had this throughout my pregnancy, only one time i had cramps.

I had my first bleed at 6 weeks; it was only a slight bleed but I phoned my EPU and they took me in for an internal- they could only see the start of a pregnancy and dated me back over 1 week.. i had a rescan two weeks later and was dated bang on my first dates.

I then bled again at 9 weeks, 11 weeks, 14 weeks and 15 weeks- terrified each time because blood is the scariest thing in the world in pregnancy but each scan showed baby with a strong heartbeat!
We found out we were having a little girl 2 weeks ago at just over 16 weeks 🙂

My first scan showed a pocket of blood in my uterus which disappeared by my 9 week scan.. then since then EPU have found no reason for the bleeds, i was just advised to ring each time i bleed to make sure but the midwife said im likely one of the ladies who will bleed on and off throughout.
Ohh and at 14 weeks i bled following going to the loo for a wee and i was found to have a UTI!

Hope all goes well for you! If you have a early pregnancy unit give them a call for advice x

Hey,
I am feeling okay just obvs a bit worrying especially with it being my first pregnancy I’m not sure what to expect.. thank you for your experiences tho it’s made me feel better knowing other people have had similar things happening. I spoke with my midwife yesterday and she said it seems normal but to just keep an eye on it so that’s what I’m doing but I will be giving my EPU unit a call for some advise too. My first scan isn’t booked in for another 3 weeks.

Hi! So probably not going to be much help as I’m also in limbo, I’m 10 weeks tomorrow and have been bleeding since Friday not heavy but every time I wipe a little on the pad though out the day. During my first pregnancy I spotted during the first trimester then had a massive bleed at 14 weeks until about 18 that was like a full on period for that whole time and baby was fine and is now a toddler and no reason was ever found for the bleeding. I’ve got a midwife appointment tomorrow so going to see what she thinks half in the mind of it could be that I just bleed during pregnancy but I have also lost all my pregnancy symptoms and don’t feel pregnant so could be the beginning of a miscarriage. It’s also really hard as the hospitals can’t do much this early on.
