Morning sickness help

Hi, I'm currently 6.5 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm REALLY struggling with morning sickness. I've been constantly feeling nauseous, and regularly being sick throughout the day every day for four days now (although there isn't much substance to what comes up, it's more like a mixture of thick saliva and liquid). I honestly don't know what to do with myself, especially if I may still have WEEKS of this left. I've tried ginger biscuits, ginger ale, travel bands, getting lots of sleep, and eating very plain food little and often (toast/rice). I'm currently off work with a 'sickness bug' as I can't physically manage to go in, and they don't yet know I'm pregnant. Any advice would be gladly accepted. Please help!

I had fresh ginger tea with honey. A few decent slices, peeled with a good dollop of honey. Only thing that stopped me vomming on the train to work. Hoping you feel better soon!

Go to the GP and get medication. I had morning sickness throughout my entire pregnancy, I tried three different pills and ended up taking two for the whole pregnancy. It didn't cure it but it made life bearable. Please push your GP to help, some don't understand but I had a wonderful lady who'd been through it was well and so was determined to make me as comfortable as possible.

Congratulations on the pregnancy!

I tried every trick in the book for morning sickness and nothing worked. I just had to grin and bear it. I had morning sickness from about 7 weeks through to 18 weeks, some days worse than others. I caved at 14 weeks and started to take anti sickness on my bad days and wished i started them earlier. It does get better, hang on in there. Will be worth it all once you have your baby in your arms.

With regards to work, not a lot you can do. We are lucky we have single so was able to sneak away and throw up without anyone knowing. I sat at my desk like a zombie 90% of the time but nobody expected a thing until i told them at 16 weeks. Strangely being occupied at work helped!

Guinness is the only thing that worked for me
