Due date confusion

Hi,

so I’m really confused on my dates….

my scan that I have had at the hospital puts me at 28+6 meaning my due date is 8th feb but if I go of the first day of my last period which is the 12th may it puts me at a due date of the 19th feb and confuses me as when I count the weeks back the date they have given me means I conceived before my period? Or am I getting this all wrong?

It could be that you ovulated earlier or later than the first day of your period would state on a standard calculator, I know I ovulated very late.
My dates are so out from my cycle that my midwife wasn’t able to put anything on to my notes u til I’d had a dating scan.
