Hi

i'm 26 +3 and there still isn't any pattern to my baby's movement. For a couple of days the baby will be really active day and night, then others days hardly anything. I've been to the midwife to get checked twice already.

When did your patterns of movement start to show? I just feel like I'm constantly on edge at the moment.

Thanks in advance x

I never had much of a pattern I just used to make sure I felt regular movement. It used to annoy me because I used to read things about kick counts etc and think wtf! Your doing the right thing getting checked if your unsure at any point though!

I have never noticed a pattern, once I feel something it's enough. I'd be more worried senseless otherwise and I never did a kick count, far too much anxiety inducing. Once I felt good strong kicks I was happy.. It changes with their position and I noticed too when they got bigger movements felt less which made sense to me cos they had less room to move..then I used feel more the hardness and little parts sticking out - try to relax and enjoy it :-)

I don't think I ever had a pattern, what are you expecting?

30 weeks here and no pattern

Thank you for your responses. I don't know what I was expecting to be honest, my midwife just said that I should start seeing a pattern of movement by now and if this was to slow down/stop then to call up straight away.

I guess I just thought by now the baby would have a routine like move in the morning, after lunch and in the evening when relaxing for example but this isn't the case.

I've had 3 very active days and today is completely different less active, maybe this is my pattern haha!

As you can tell this is my first so I wasn't sure what to expect. I guess I was hoping for a pattern so that I'm not constantly anxious when the baby is less busy in there.

Thanks again x

I am 27+4 and I could be writing this post! My baby is exactly the same.. some days she kicks like a ninja and some days almost nothing... I have been in 3 times to get checked, but my midwife is always happy to check the baby's wellbeing..
