17 weeks...FHHR with a question mark, any ideas what that can mean?

This is baby 3, at 17 weeks i told my midwife i don't have many movements, whereas i had loads with no.2 and weeks ago.

It took her a while to find the heart beat but she did, said nothing, wrote in my notes then said see you in 4 weeks.

When i got home i read my notes and FHHR (feotal heart heard regular)was written with a question mark after it.

I've never had this before, has anyone else??

Was wondering if i should ring midwife tomorrow just to put my mind at rest or would i look nuerotic??

It probably just means that she was only 99% sure as it was a bit difficult to hear, as they are sometimes, somedays. It is not acceptable to write something like that though, without explaining it to you as it causes so much worry, so I would call her and if she puts you off with an explanation you are not happy with contact another midwife and ask her to listen in. It should not be too difficult to hear at 17 weeks and it would only take seconds to reassure you.

As maxbear said - she wasn't sure if she heard a heartbeat - they do move around alot at that age wihtout you noticing. If worried go back for another listen. With ds3 I bought one of those fetal doppler things - it was very reassuring.
