Bleeding

Hey!
bare with me as this might be a little long but will try to shorten it down…

we found out I was pregnant on the 29th Sep. My last period was 1st Sep. Did the usual self referral to midwife, had my first appointment at beginning of Nov. All was well, estimated to be around 8 - 10 weeks pregnant, then on the 12th Nov, I woke up in morning, was bleeding heavily & had cramps (midwife had said previously if before 16 weeks then a&e or gp) Gp was closed as weekend, went to a&e they moved me to EPAU after waiting 4hrs in a&e to be told they’ll book me an appointment for the following Friday to have a scan to see what’s happening.. they did check my cervix and told me they’re still closed which was good, sent me home. Fast forward to the Thursday the bleeding had finally stopped, appointment went well, couldn’t find a cause for the bleeding from the scan & turns out I am actually 17weeks pregnant, baby & myself are ok! sent me on my way. Now it’s Sunday and I’ve woken up again and the bleeding has started again.. do I just have to put up with this might happen throughout my whole pregnancy? Do I contact maternity unit now I’m 17 weeks to see what they say? I’m at loss & even though they said on Friday things are ok, it doesn’t help or stop the worrying that happens when I’ve started bleeding again and have the cramps again…

anyone else been through this and have bled continuously throughout?

advice/support please!!
I already have two girls & the pregnancies were good.

You poor thing, that’s so worrying. Did they say where to go if it happened again? Here I think it’s EPU till 20 weeks, it probably varies across the country. I’d call maternity unit tonight as they’re more likely to be open and if no luck contact EPU in the morning. I’m really sorry. With my DD I had one big bleed which turned out to be a shifting clot but it only happened once.

Did they mention giving you progesterone?

Thank you for your reply! I didn’t see this yesterday unfortunately! The bleeding had stopped by this morning, all has been well until this evening when it’s started again! Cannot win! I have a “routinely normal” scan tomorrow at the maternity department in my hospital, so I’m going to mention it to them tomorrow whilst I’m there as my next midwife appointment isn’t until the 22nd Dec. Hopefully might get some answers & they never mentioned putting me on progesterone! Didn’t mention nothing, just said they can’t find a cause for the bleeding and that’s it.
