Tips and tricks to get baby active for scan

I'm going for a gender scan in a few days, when I went for my 12 week scan my baby was so still and wouldn't move, so I'm worried when it comes to the gender scan they won't be able to see so I'd like some tips and tricks for the day of the scan to get my baby active please I am so excited I will be 16 1/2 weeks I want to start buying stuff for my baby !!

When I went for my 12 week scan (dated 13 weeks) baby was hiding. I was told to go for a 20 minute walk to shoogle them out. Then when we wanted him to turn around when in the bed I put my feet flat near my bum, raised my hips and shook. So I'd suggest an active morning before your scan.

Ice cold drink too - my friend was told to have a can of Coke

Can of full fat fizzy drink and a chocolate bar.

I was made to walk and do some gentle hops.. the sonographer also suggested to carry some sweets/chocolates and cold water for the next be appointment if needed 😄

@drV I'm going to drink so much ice water on the day I'm going to give myself brain freeze 🤣need my baby active so I can find out never been more excited in my life

Why can't you buy stuff until you know what genitals it has??

@Spockrates haha it's just one of the things kids demand from us 🤣 I had been to anatomy scan at 20 weeks and I was in the clinic for 9 hours because my girl wasn't ready to give proper position.. I had to walk almost 5km, eat, drink and do what not 😆

I have a very uncooperative baby, for all my scans baby has done it’s own thing and never done what needed, to a point we couldn’t even get an NT measurement! 😂

We had our gender scan at 16 weeks two weeks ago and i was expecting to not find out ha, the place was amazing though and worked with us and our awkward baby! We had a cold can of Fanta, went for a 10 minute walk and they had me jumping up and down in the room and lunging in the waiting area ha.. also a bar of chocolate!
Scan was supposed to be 20 mins but 50 minutes later and after many exercises we found out we were having a little girl 🙂
