29 weeks and don’t feel pregnant

has anyone else experienced just not feeling pregnant at 29 weeks? I have a bump but on every midwife appointment it’s measuring small, growth scans seem to be okay other than a smaller measuring femur measurement. I also keep having reoccurring reduced movements for the past month, I always attend triage but I feel like I’m wasting their time, I don’t think baby is in a ‘pattern.’ Because I’ve not really noticed anything… I’m beyond worried and constantly crying but the midwives advise is just to always get checked… is there something wrong or is it normal still for babies to have quite days?

Oh yes, very normal! I was almost full term when my dd (now 10) went silent for 3 days, I was convinced baby hadn't made it. Scan revealed heartbeat and she was born fine.
It can depend where the placenta is too, if the placenta is at the front it reduces sensation, and depending where baby is kicking you might not feel it at all.
Try not to worry very likely all is well. When you're almost full term and baby is giving your ribs a good kick you'll have something more definite to feel sure about. 😁

Phew! I was hearing from loads of mums that baby should be really active right now and though baby is most days I keep getting 2/3days of silence which again is today… I’m unsure to call triage again or? Normally baby is kicking me constant!

Please call the midwives if you have any doubt regarding movement. Always trust your instincts.

They always say they would rather see you than have you worry at home and potentially miss something going on.

I was induced with my last baby due to reduced movements, and am glad I got checked out.

You should go and get checked just in case and explain that it keeps happening you may need some checks today but then frequent monitoring just in case

Ultraviolett · 17/11/2022 13:44

Can they offer frequent monitoring? They said they have criteria’s to meet?

I think if you go in more then once for reduced movements they have to offer a scan within 72 hours, if they can't do that you have to go in for daily monitoring every day until the scan they do have available.
I was there every two weeks!!! Do not leave it always go in
I was so so so anxious in my pregnancy I went on medication, but I always felt reassured after going in

I had a scan last week (growth.) and got offered no monitoring whilst waiting! I’ve been in roughly 4 times now!

Was the growth scan already scheduled or due to the reduced movements ?
Maybe some trusts are different ? This was Birmingham university hospitals

My baby was so up and down with movements. He’d have a few days being so active then several days not feeling anything and panicking me. It was all fine but it’s so worrying. I was abroad on holiday at 29 weeks and he stopped moving for 4 days so I went for a private scan there, he was jumping about like crazy in the scan but couldn’t feel him move at all.

Ultraviolett · 17/11/2022 14:23

Growth scan was booked by triage - I have a posterior placenta. I’m trying not to worry myself!

Don't worry too much, your experience is really normal and no indication of reasons to be concerned necessarily. Doesn't mean you can't check it out to be on the safe side but it is defintely not unusual.
