HPV & Pregnancy

Hi everyone,

I'm feeling super anxious so hoping for some positive stories to help settle my nerves!

I've been HPV positive for 3 years now. In April 2022 I had CNI1 & CNI2 cells removed from my cervix and my consultant wanted to see my 6 months later to check that they are all gone (Oct 22). As there is a big backlog for appointments following covid, I was told I'm on the list but they couldn't offer me an appointment just yet. My consultant knew I wanted to try for baby number 2 and he wrote to me to advise that it's ok for my to get pregnant, he said this doesn't put me at any significant risk.

So I am currently 6 weeks pregnant! They phoned yesterday to offer me the appointment which I now can't take. Conclusion is I need to go after my 12 week scan and then again after birth.

I'm just scared I guess, I've not been in this situation before and I'm worried about the results in January. Anyone had a similar experience and everything turned out OK? Thank you x

Hi
How are you doing...I to have been positive for 2 years and want a baby I go back in July now to see how things are and weather to start trying..
How are you now

I had cn3 and had a baby in July 22. I had a risk of preterm labour because of the shortening of the cervix and I had my baby at 35 weeks. They offer you progesterone pessaries or a cervical stitch. Ask your midwife to be referred to the preterm birth clinic at your local hospital.

Yes before I got pregnant. I had one checkup when I was pregnant (smear test).

Sorry, but I'm not 100% sure what the question is? You need another check up after 12 week scan and again after birth. Would it mean having a C section rather than a vaginal birth? Wishing you all the best OP.
